This is a fun, inexpensive little strategy game that has only one flaw… it’s an insane click fest. Basically, you’ve got a fish tank and you must feed your fish to keep them alive by clicking on the screen to drop a food pellet. Dropping food pellets cost you money, so you must ration them (at least at the beginning of each level). But well-fed fish drop coins, you you must collect (again by clicking on them) to build your money supply. With more money you can by upgraded equipment with which to feed your fish and other types of fish that produce more money. Every couple of minutes your fish will be attacked by an alien, which you must shoot and kill before he eats all of your fish. The strategy comes when deciding how to spend your money to upgrade which pieces of equipment and weapons, buy more fish, fish producers, or fish that eat your other fish. You also have to choose at the start of each level which helper fish to have in your tank, all with different abilities. For example some collect coins for you while others protect your fish from aliens. The graphics are sound effects are cute and the game play is relatively simple, so this is a good game for kids and casual gamers. The one problem with the game is that the only interface is the mouse, so you will constantly clicking nearly as fast as you can for the duration of each level. It will give your wrist a workout, so take a break between levels!

This game grabs you, hook line and sinker. Even my grandson loves it. He started playing when he was 5 and still plays every times he’s here and he’s 8 this month.

When will there be a Insaniquarium II(2)?

The packaging and the disc came in perfect condition. The game is easy enough for my 5 year old to play and fun enough for me to play. The game starts out like it may be a little boring, but very soon you realize that its a startegy game more than anything else. You must attempt to pay attentionto all aspects of the tank at the same time while attempting to defend it also. I am 26 years old and am completely addicted to playing ‘the fish game.’

Kids may love it, but adults do, too. I’m so addicted to this game I see fish and coins when I close my eyes. My college kids downloaded it to try one night and spent HOURS sitting opposite each other on their respective laptops, intently feeding the fish and filling the rooms with the sound effects. After you finish the game, there are bonus levels to play for new pets. As soon as I beat it, I’ll start again. I can’t believe I’ve never heard of it before. Only Jewel Quest 2 captured me like this. It’s great!

When I purchased my kids’ computer, it came loaded with a sample of this game & others by this company. Smart move! They played their quota of the samples, then asked me to buy some of them. I put this on the wishlist, and someone bought it for my son, aged 6 at the time.

Oh my gosh, what a GREAT present!! Everyone plays this!! Adults, kids, it doesn’t matter. It’s very addicting.

If you need a summary of what the game does or is, read the product overview. I am just here to tell you that you can not go wrong buying this game.

My kids, aged 9, 6, 6, & 3 all love this game, as does my husband. (I never got a turn. I play Zuma, instead.) They played this all winter long (and it’s a LONG winter in northern PA!). Our houseguests have all loved this game, as well.

What’s also great about this and other titles made by this company…You don’t need the disc inserted to play the game. Once you load it, you can play it all you want. You can even share your disc with a friend.

Oh, and, it runs on Windows Vista just fine! Yay!!!!!
